BeauCARE's Afterschool Program is in it's 14th year of providing a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 6-17 from 3:05 to 5:30 PM Monday thru Friday during the Beauregard Parish School Year.
PEER is a Youth Development Program that is funded by the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement. It is a juvenile delinquency prevention program that targets at-risk youth ages 6-17 with opportunities for life skills classes, structured recreation, counseling, homework assistance, and mentoring. It is a referral based program.
CACFP plays a vital role in improving the quality of care for children by providing afterschool healthy snack to at-risk children. Through CACFP, more than 3.2 million children in the U.S. receive nutritious snacks each day as part of the afterschool care they receive.
At BeauCARE, over 60 children receive snacks on a daily basis.
